The Underground Conservancy is dedicated to protecting the often overlooked or avoided places that lie below the surface of the earth. Conservation efforts not only include caves but any type of underground site, such as abandoned mines, often looked at as a hazard by many groups, but which may contain significant biological or historical resources. The UC has a close relation with other groups

The first inspection of our new site revealed a few big surprises , in particular evidence of a massive Mexican Free Tail Bat (100k to500K) summer roost, and vicious Cave Coati’s .
