Lessons from improv camp:
1. watch out for poison oak (luckily I didn’t get itchy even though I pitched my tent in a poison oak patch)
2. it’s chilly in the “marine layer”
3. we don’t overthink our scenes because we are bad improvisers, we do it because we are HUMAN
4. we need to reclaim danger on the stage
5. we can play bigger topics if we play our characters as real people (people with depth and opinions and lives)
6. not everyone likes their improv with a side of snakes… or bats (and I mean the flying kind, not the Bay Area kind)
Thanks for a fun weekend at caaaaaaaaamp!
