For over 20 years, Skylor poured his heart into the pizza business, mastering his craft in pizzerias across the area. He dedicated himself to helping build other people's businesses before finally taking the leap of faith to build his own dream.

Almost two years ago, Sky's Pies Pizza opened its doors. Since then, through endless hard work, long hours, sacrifice, and determination, Skylor has helped turn a dream into an award-winning pizzeria. Every recognition we've received is a testament to his passion and the incredible support of our community.

One thing success teaches you is who genuinely celebrates your victories and who doesn't. It can reveal your biggest supporters—and your biggest critics. But we've learned that when you're focused on your purpose, the opinions of others don't define your journey.

Good news, everyone! Rustic Dough Works is officially back open for business! The State of Florida has completed our reinspection and has lifted our temporary closure.

We want to sincerely thank everyone who reached out with kind words, encouragement, and support over the last 24 hours. It truly means the world to our family, our staff, and our business.

Our team worked tirelessly from top to bottom to make sure everything was exactly as it should be, and we’re excited to get back to doing what we love—serving you great food.

Come on in, say hello, and help us celebrate being back! We can’t wait to see all of our amazing customers.

Rustic Dough Works is OPEN… and the ovens are hot!

First, I just want to say thank you to everyone in Flagler County.

The amount of support, phone calls, messages, and encouraging comments we received today has been overwhelming. I read so many of them, and from the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Today was a tough day. We spent the entire day tearing our restaurant apart from top to bottom, cleaning everything imaginable. Tomorrow morning at 8:00 AM, the State Inspector will be back for our reopening inspection, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back.

One thing I’m especially proud of is that I didn’t send my staff home. Even though we couldn’t serve customers today, I kept everyone working because they have families to support too. They worked incredibly hard all day, and I’m grateful for every one of them.

I also want to recognize our inspector, Kevin. He was professional, respectful, and simply doing his job. He’s a veteran, and I actually remember him being the inspector who issued my very first food truck license years ago. He wasn’t out to get us—he saw an issue and handled it exactly the way a health inspector should. I respect that.

The reality is we live in Florida. Every restaurant battles insects, and we have a professional pest control company that services us every single week. We’ll continue doing everything we can to stay ahead of it because that’s our responsibility.

To the person making anonymous complaints, if your goal is genuinely to protect public health, I respect that. But if it’s being done out of anger or to hurt a small business, I hope you’ll think about the impact. It’s not just me you’re affecting—it’s 21 employees and their families who depend on this restaurant.

And I’ll even joke a little… if you’ve ever wondered when Rustic Dough Works would be the cleanest it’s ever been, tomorrow is probably the day! 😂

If you’ve been thinking about stopping by, we’d truly appreciate your support tomorrow. We lost a full day of business and have a lot of fresh food ready to serve. Our family meal pre-orders will be back, and you can still place an order before noon.
