If you are replacing intake seals or your intake for any reason it is imperative that you build out your throttle body and air cleaner backing plate BEFORE you tighten up your intake screws evenly. If not it can bind and mostly likely break expensive parts. It can also create misalignment between mating parts and create flow problems.

Its things like this that unless you do it all the time or do not have experience that can cost you money and or have a motorcycle that runs less than desirable....jimmy

Everybody always says on the 1999-2006 cam chain tensioners that they caught them before they came apart. That is all good and well but in reality these orange spring tensioner are doing damage to your motor from the beginning.

As the tensioners wear they are chipping off small particles and sending hard plastic pieces into your motors small oiling passages like piston oilers. I have seen it with my own eyes, oilers plugged up with plastic and not oiling bottom of piston.

If you own a 1999-2006 just get rid of the faulty design out of your bike.....jimmy
