Carters Daffodils

A new season of daffodils. Some of the 1st year blooms for 2025. So these flowers are 1 of a kind. There are 1-3 bulbs of these new varieties grown at Carters Daffodils. Taking some of my new seedlings to the National American Daffodil Show in Reno. I've picked 350 flowers to take so far. Way too many.

Where does a Daffodil Hybridizer buy bulbs? My favorite suppliers are Esker Farm Daffodils and Q Daffs USA . Just got my Q Daffs USA order. A large box of very good quality bulbs. These bulbs were registered with the ADS since 1980 so are varieties most people have never seen. The prices are quite reasonable. The attached photo is what was received for an order of 3 bulbs. What was sent were 3 large mother bulbs and 3 offsets. I will likely get 3 flowers the 1st year but 6 the second year. I know Carlos who grew them in the Netherlands. His company Fluwel Flower Bulbs grows some great bulbs but he has Q Q Daffs USA import them to the US.
