Tuesday and Thursday Boxing Class for All Levels - 7pm 🥊

06/11/2026

The last day of sparring for some of our fight team 🥊

Miles and Jesse will be competing this weekend in a point boxing tournament that rewards points and skills over power. This is what I call Level 2 of boxing development after sparring.

PBSC Point boxing offers competitive sparring events for friends and family to come see while boxers compete for an award while developing the skills necessary to compete in full contact boxing.

Point boxing is perfect for beginner boxers and Hobbiest of all ages because..
- Intensity is controlled by the referee
- Sanctioned under Semi Contact rules ( NO KNOCKOUTS ALLOWED‼️)
- Judges reward skills, points and defense instead of power shots. Making it a safe and technical form of competition for development.

🥊 FIGHT TEAM TRAINING 🥊

Next competition date:
June 13 at the PBSC Point Boxing Tournament at STL Turf Box for Miles & Jesse.

For info about the event or to register visit: pointboxing.com

Fight team training isn’t just conditioning and toughness.
Being in shape ain’t enough. Boxers need SKILLS.

Our focus is heavily based on:
• Technical boxing training
• Technical sparring
• Live drilling for defense and counter punching
• Ring awareness, timing, composure, and fighter IQ

My fighters don’t just learn techniques…
I spend the time explaining WHEN and WHY to use them so they actually understand boxing instead of just copying movements.

Every week we work:
🥊 Technical development
🥊 Controlled sparring
🥊 Live reaction drills
🥊 Saturday Sparring – 9AM

Then comes the next level:
PBSC semi-contact point boxing tournaments.

This gives fighters experience against the unexpected in front of a crowd WITHOUT the unnecessary damage of full-contact fights too early.

Most young fighters are forced to learn by surviving gym wars and hard fights.
I’d rather develop skill, confidence, composure, and experience first.

Learn → Train → Spar → Compete → Develop

All while emphasizing the importance of being a fighter that displays:
Safety. Skills. Respect.

Fight Team Training is invite only.

To earn a spot, come to classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7PM or reach out about private training. Fight team spots are limited to 5 fighters so I can produce the best results for each athlete.

My upcoming boxer, Miles sparred 3 rounds with a professional boxer and held his own through defense, composure, and fundamentals. I’m proud of this kid’s progress. 🥊

Miles will also be competing June 13 in a PBSC Semi-Contact Point Boxing Tournament in Valley Park at STL TurfBox.

As a coach I believe there has to be a proper development system for new boxers.

1. Learn the ART of boxing first.
Hit and don’t get hit.
Technique over power.
Skill over toughness.
This seems to be dying in the local boxing scene.

2. Develop through controlled technical sparring in the gym.
Put a stop to gym wars. Gym wars cause fighters to later become “punch drunk” or worse.

3. The modernized “second level” of becoming a boxer. Compete in PBSC semi-contact boxing tournaments to gain real experience, confidence, timing, composure, and ring IQ BEFORE entering full-contact fights. When our athletes health is a risk in every competition, we cannot afford for them to learn on the job.

Boxing coaches still follow the same system boxing has used for 100+ years:
Train hard.
Spar hard.
Fight hard.
Take punishment until experience to make a talented boxer finally comes.

I believe there’s a better and smarter path for many beginners and developing boxers.

Learn the art → Train the skills → Technical Sparring → Point Boxing Competition → Full Contact fights

PBSC Point Boxing acts as a modern second level of the development process of a boxer.

It allows athletes to:
• gain experience in front of a crowd.
• stay safer while learning in competition
• develop mentally and strategically
• learn how to stay relaxed in competition
• sharpen defense and timing
• Fight using the true art of boxing. Hit without getting hit.

I truly believe this approach can reduce unnecessary injury, gym wars, and long-term damage while helping athletes develop physically, mentally, and skillfully. Making better boxers.

🥊 MIKE STEGALL | BOXING COACH

• Coaching at Team Sam’s for nearly 2 years.
• 200 amateur fights and 13 pro fights (7W • 4D • 2L).
• USA Certified Boxing Coach

I believe boxing is a true art that’s becoming lost through inexperienced coaches who use phony drills from YouTube videos and social media. My focus is sharp fundamentals, smart training, defense, timing, footwork, and teaching people how to hit without getting hit from proven training methods and my own experience in the ring as a fighter.

I’ve competed against some of the best fighters in the country and now I use my experience to train beginners, competitors, and everyday people through legit boxing training. My favorite thing to do is build a person into a boxer from scratch and help them develop their own unique style based on their physical abilities.

I am the first coach to bring PBSC semi-contact boxing competition to St. Louis — creating a safe bridge between gym sparring and full-contact fights so athletes can gain real competitive boxing experience without being thrown into a fight unprepared. Gaining experience while taking the least amount of damage is key. Boxing is not a game. It is a fight with serious repercussions if not trained correctly.

I offer..
Private Training • Classes • Fight Team Opportunities

All Ages & Skill Levels
Train • Learn • Develop
