Our mission is to rescue domestic rabbits turned loose and abandoned by their owners, take in rabbits from animal controls and shelters when their "time is up," and provide health care, spay or neuter, good care, healthy diet socialization and more. Then we adopt them out as happy and healthy fur-ever family members to qualified homes plus educate our adopters and the general population regarding

Easter and Spring bring numerous requests every year for bunnies to be part of an event and that's on top of our own activities. This year was no different. These are a few of the events we attended and did and there are more to come. Our bunnies are always accompanied by our volunteers.

Photos include Delmar Gardens senior home, Cheshire Grin Cat Cafe and rescue, the Methodist church in Chesterfield, the Fenton Chamber of Commerce Annual Easter Egg Hunt held at T.A.S.K., and our own Bunny Visit at our shelter. These do not encompass all of the events. We only wish we could accommodate more.

Our header of "Community" for the photos is due to the fact that these events are helping others in our community. We could also do our "Education" header as we do provide some for those who ask. We could use the header "Ambassador Bunnies" because only those bunnies who are capable of handling being at these activities go with us. And we could use "Oh, What Fun!" because we have as much fun as the people who attend. We truly do love being part of the community.

Stay tuned for our bunnies at the Missouri Botanical Gardens and MO HRR at the annual Humane Day in Jefferson City.

What's up next? SPRING BUNNY VISIT!

We have a few spots left for our annual spring event for children (although some adults come for it, too.)

THIS SUNDAY, March 29. Visits only by appointment. A visit time spot can be purchased for just $5 per child on our website at https://www.morabbit.org/store-1

Visits include a photo with a live bunny (photos taken by you with your camera,) a tour through our main bunny area where the child can give out some bunny treats, and time to sit on the couch with a bunny in our Meet N Greet Room plus a bunny ornament to take home.

Rabbits are the third most abandoned pet in the U.S. Have fun with a bunny during our Bunny Visit. Please don't buy a bunny. Rabbits are a 10-12 year commitment. They are high maintenance. They are wonderful, but it must be an adult who wants them and will be their caregivers throughout their lives. Thank you!
