My name is Antonio, also known as “Tono,” and I am a licensed Zumba Instructor Network (ZIN) member with a deep passion for fitness and dance. My journey with Zumba began in 2010 when I was first introduced to the program through the Zumba Fitness video game on Xbox 360 via Kinect at my workplace. The following year, I accepted a challenge from friends to attend my first live Zumba class, which pr
oved to be a transformative experience and sparked my enduring enthusiasm for the discipline. In 2013, I officially became a ZIN member to further immerse myself in the Zumba community and enjoy its many benefits. By 2015, I began teaching classes outside of work, starting at Rehearsal Works in Sumner, WA. My instructional experience expanded to include DanceFit City in Renton, Riot Dance Center in Puyallup, and the Federal Way Community Center. Additionally, I have had the privilege of supporting former Zumba Presenter Lisa Marie in her Fly Girl 101 sessions at the Zumba Convention as one of her dancers in both 2018 and 2019. For the past decade, I have organized an annual Jackson Edition Masterclass around Michael Jackson’s birthday, each year supporting a different charitable organization. Notably, Tito Jackson once shared a Facebook video from one of my classes, expressing his pleasure at seeing participants enjoying and dancing to his music. I also host a yearly purple masterclass every April, dedicated to celebrating the music of Prince and related artists. Beyond my regular teaching schedule, I actively volunteer and assist other instructors with fundraisers, class establishment, and choreography support. In April 2017, I was honored to be recognized as one of the Zumba Unsung Heroes, alongside Rachel Evans of Norwich, England, in acknowledgment of our collaborative fundraising efforts for a local hospice support group in England. Throughout my tenure, I have traveled extensively to instruct, attend masterclasses, and participate in Jam Sessions in numerous cities, including Chesapeake (VA), Greensboro (NC), Newark (NJ), Baltimore (MD), Toronto (CA), Bradenton, Miami, St. Lauderdale (FL), Norwich (UK), Redmond and Portland (OR), Los Angeles (CA), and various locations across Washington State. My reputation within the Zumba community is built on my energetic teaching style, creative choreography, unwavering commitment to class participants, and a genuine dedication to fostering positive experiences and supporting meaningful causes.
