Prayer is a foundational practice in the life of the Christian. James chapter five tells us that "the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective"(NIV). Prayer is not just something I do hoping God will hear me. Prayer is done intentionally and has great purpose when we align ourselves with God's will. In prayer, we reach up to God, press in for each other, and ask that God would bring those who are far from Him back to Himself. As we follow Christ, let's continue to make prayer a priority in our lives.
