We are Farmers! Here in the District 1 Office, our small team oversees and supports over 50 Farmers Insurance agencies in King and Pierce Counties. We pride ourselves on a collaborative and supportive environment with the expectation that you will grow within the company. This is the perfect stepping stone position. Working in the District Office means you will receive personalized in-depth training from your colleagues and district manager.

ABOUT THE JOB

This is a full-time position designed to serve as a jumping off point for further advancement at Farmers. As a part of our customer service team, you will work at our District Office in Federal Way alongside a diverse group of individuals as you provide customer service support for 8 of our agencies. The goal is for you to gain the experience and training so you can become a staff member at one of our agencies or become a Farmers Insurance agent yourself, giving you the opportunity to advance your career and income.

At the district office, you will:
- Assist customers with insurance policies, coverages and billing inquiries over the phone, via email and in person
- Guide new and existing customers as they navigate purchasing insurance
- Review customer policy status and make personalized recommendations based on their needs
- Partake in on-the-job learning of the Farmers systems and products
- Train to become a Farmers agent or agency staff!

ABOUT YOU

You do not need to have insurance experience to succeed at this job. As long as you are eager to learn, we will provide you with the tools and training necessary to reach your goals. We are specifically seeking someone who speaks Vietnamese to provide customer service to clients of one of our Vietnamese agents.

You are:
- Looking for a long-term career with opportunities for growth in income and responsibility
- A clear written and verbal communicator who is comfortable interacting with customers
- Unafraid to ask questions and learn from experiences
- Already licensed in insurance or eligible to earn a WA State Insurance License (don’t worry, we will guide you through this process!)
- Preferred: Bilingual in English and Vietnamese

Experience in sales and customer service is always a plus in the insurance business, but it is not required!

Normally, we have a big party to celebrate the previous year and award some of our agents for their achievements, but unfortunately we had to cancel the 2019 awards due to the pandemic. While we have announced our winning agencies within our district already, we wanted to share them with the world, too! Great job to all our agents 🙌
