Soooooooooooo....
I always wondered why The University of Oklahoma (whom we play this week in baseball) calls itself OU and NOT UO?
I was told it was because they didn't like UO because it sounds like YOU OWE. So, then if so, wouldn't OU mean OWE YOU?
Didn't make sense.
Here is what I am told is the real reason:
It's the abbreviation convention for former Big 8 schools:
CU
ISU
KU
KSU
MU
NU
OU
OSU
They all end in U 🤣
