FBC Classics

Our 2021 lake outing is scheduled for Saturday, July 17th at Glendalough State Park, just east of Fergus Falls. We will caravan as usual so people may depart as they wish. My wife and I will arrive early to secure our favorite spot in the shade. The caravan will meet at the church at 8:45 with a 9:00 departure. Vehicles will have to stop at the park office to get a day pass before proceeding to the Annie Battle Lake. Cost is $10 per person for a lakeside meal. We will have an assortment of games available, and there are short hiking trails, bike and boat rentals. There are no motorized boats on Annie Battle Lake, so the lake stays calm for picturesque canoe, kayak, or rowboat rides. There is a very large sandy beach area with clear water that stays very shallow for quite a distance. Perfect for cooling off as much as you wish. One of my favorite things to do is set a camp chair in the water and catch up with friends. You will also see a variety of birds and fishing is available.
