Historic Election Marks a New Chapter for the Liberian Community in Fargo-Moorhead

The Liberian community in Fargo-Moorhead made history yesterday as hundreds of community members turned out peacefully to participate in one of the largest elections ever held within the local Liberian community. The event showcased unity, democracy, and civic engagement, as voters gathered to choose their preferred candidate in a well-organized and peaceful electoral process.

From the opening of the polls to the final vote count, the atmosphere remained calm, respectful, and orderly. Community members from across the Fargo-Moorhead area demonstrated their commitment to leadership and progress by participating in record numbers.

After all ballots were counted, Alex emerged victorious with 466 votes, earning the confidence and support of the majority of voters. Chris received 266 votes, while 9 ballots were declared invalid. The final results reflected a strong voter turnout and highlighted the growing involvement of Liberians in community affairs.

MATCH REPORT | Fargo United FC vs LAW FC (Waterloo, Iowa)

A competitive match in Fargo saw Fargo United FC secure a 2–0 victory over LAW FC, a team representing Waterloo, Iowa.

While Fargo United celebrated an impressive win, the match was overshadowed by an unfortunate injury suffered by a LAW FC player. During the game, a player sustained a knee injury and was transported to the Emergency Room at Essentia Health for immediate medical attention.

A few hours after the match, team officials confirmed that the player underwent an MRI examination on his injured knee. Following the evaluation, arrangements were made by LAW FC’s Technical Director to transfer the player back to Iowa, where he will continue receiving specialized treatment and further medical care.

The Fargo soccer community extends its best wishes the player a full and speedy recovery. Injuries are always difficult to see, and everyone involved in the match hopes to see him back on the field soon.
