Sometimes a donation lands exactly where it needs to, at exactly the right time.

Dakota Central recently made a $500 donation to Heroes Compass earmarked for the Woodworth, ND area. We connected with Steve Scarborough, Fire Chief of the Woodworth Fire Department, to find out where it could do the most good.

Turns out they had already invested in life saving equipment but were short on what they needed to finish the order. Rope and pumps. The kind of gear that means the difference between reaching someone in time and not.

Our $500 covered it. The order is going in today.

When we told Steve, he got quiet for a moment and said, "I didn't think I would be crying today at 57 years old, but here I am. This will definitely save a life."

That is why we do this.
