Light plays such a vital role in our homes. It can affect our mood, our activity levels, and it can affect the colors and patterns in our space.

We love natural light. It provides an ephemeral element to homes, making every space feel different during the day.

When natural light isn't an option, we opt for lots of light from multiple sources.

I stumbled across this post a few days ago, and it just resonated with me.

I think for many people (myself included), it can be so hard to learn to look with our hearts and design for ourselves. It can be a vulnerable practice to sit with your home and decide what speaks to your heart, what speaks to your family.

What holds us back? The approval (or lack thereof) from others? Perfection? Lack of self assurance? Lack of practice?

This week, I encourage you to practice looking with your heart, and let go of the things that no longer connect with you.
