Commitment begins with you. Know what you want and what you consider to be your deal-breakers. Be honest and open about your desires and willing to put all your wishes out in the open. Know your strengths and create a balance between your wants and abilities. Be aware of how a relationship makes you feel. Does it bring out the best in you? As you look at relationships, make sure they support your growth and enable you to feel validated. Determine if you want the commitment and then be ready to go the distance and put in the time and effort needed.
