I’m back y’all! The weather has turned nice again and I’ve dusted off the camera. I’ve had the Sand Island Lighthouse on my “to do” list since I was a little kid, checking it out with binoculars from the beaches of Fort Morgan. Thanks to my awesome friends Joe & Kellie I was able to get right up to her and take some shots yesterday. After we pulled the shrimp trawl an few times and filling the cooler with jumbo shrimp we hearded 3 miles out to the old lighthouse, lit first in 1838. It was an amazing sight that didn’t disappoint up close. I owe a BIG thanks to Joe & Kellie for finally making my dreams a reality.
