I’ve carried the image of an orange tree in my mind for some time - unsure of how to capture it on canvas until now. No collection or deadline, just an idea, reference photo and paint to canvas

🍊Because citrus is rare and difficult to cultivate, I find comfort in its symbolism. Through every season, I realize that I have been preparing for what comes next.

My work is a time capsule—a reflection of current inspirations, happenings, and my environment. Subjects and marks ebb and flow alongside a life unfolding.

A portion of this painting was created while my daughter was in my studio talking about her day; it was one of those moments of openness and fluid conversation. I was fully present, enjoying the back-and-forth from palette to canvas, rhythmically painting and listening. My children are the inspiration behind my work.

These beauties have a new home in our bar nook. The golf course series is inspired by husband’s love for the game and all his favorite places to play.

I gave him a set of clubs on our one year wedding anniversary... It only took 18 years for me to give him his own paintings to keep. 🙃
