Did you know that the signer and the notary must speak a common language? Interpreters are not allowed for notarization.
If the person needing notarization doesn't speak English, you will need to find a notary that speaks the signer's language.
Did you know that if your minor child is traveling out of the country without you or the other parent, the authorization must be notarized?
This is also the case when visiting jails, prisons as well as other US traveling.
Check before your child leaves to make sure that everything is in order.
You need to create a Power of Attorney. Do you have your document? A notary is not allowed to carry power of attorney forms. By doing so, it is considered giving legal advice. Unless your notary is also a paralegal or a lawyer, you will need to find the power of attorney form that works for your situation. You can find them on line or in office supply stores.
