It rained for a good portion of the day, but that didn’t stop this incredible community from showing up ready to create. If anything, the weather made the day even more memorable!
There’s just something about the Philly Creators Challenge that has a vibe unlike anything else. For one day, the streets of Old City become a playground for photographers and creators.
Turn one corner and JC Carey is lighting up an alleyway with MiMi Fulton and George William Schroeder while Rob Sylvan is doing a scavenger hunt with 🎭 Critical Mask ™ . Around the block, Karen Jerzyk has transformed an ordinary location into something straight out of another world. Suddenly Fletcher Street Riding Club comes riding through the streets. Eli Infante is making the most of the rain, creating beautiful portraits with Michal Elizabeth tucked beneath an umbrella while earlier doing a sports studio shoot with Liv Gilchrist . Along the waterfront, Allan Steele-Dadzie is chasing clean, timeless portraits with 𝙼𝚊𝚍𝚎𝚕𝚎𝚒𝚗𝚎新琳 epiphanyscout Carley David and ghost.fac3__ , while upstairs Steve Vaccariello is capturing the grace and movement of live dancers Skyler Lubin . To close out the day, Philly Create brought everyone together for an epic Kill Bill-inspired shoot at SugarMom’s with Sky Kelly Phyllis Goodridge .
The rain forced us all to adapt, but it never slowed the creativity. It was inspiring to watch photographers embrace the conditions, experiment, and keep creating all day long.
