Need a peaceful break? Watch over 30 Brown Pelicans on our live BirdCam. Some are soaring through the aviary, while others are resting between flights as they build the endurance they'll need before returning to the wild.

Special thanks to this month’s sponsor, Marathon Petroleum Corporation, for helping bring these inspiring moments to your screen.

40 second chances.

This week, 40 rehabilitated birds spread their wings and returned to the wild, each one representing weeks, and sometimes months, of dedicated care from our staff, volunteers, and supporters.

Every release is a reminder of what's possible when people come together to help wildlife.

Meet a young Cassin's Auklet, a small seabird that landed on a boat offshore near Huntington Beach. Unable to continue its journey, it got a lift to Bird Rescue, where our team found it was underweight.

Cassin's Auklets live most of their lives far offshore, only coming to land to nest on remote islands. For now, this unusual patient is regaining its strength until it's strong enough to return to life at sea. 🌊
