ed their flagship store in 1994. In 2010, Daniel Diamonds moved to their new award winning Evergreen location in The Diamond Building. Danny originates from Netanya, Israel, the heart of the Israeli Diamond Exchange. Growing up surrounded by friends and family in the diamond industry, he developed an acute sense for high quality gemstones. His knowledge of the world diamond market was further increased during his travels abroad as a member of the Israeli national soccer team. Karen is from Galveston, Texas with a degree in interior design from the University of Texas in Austin. She began designing jewelry in 1981 and was later certified as a GIA diamond grader. Her love of design and interest in the diamond industry led to the opening of the first Daniel Diamonds retail store. Karen and Danny’s daughter, Kellie Alkayam, joined the company in 2009. Growing up around diamonds and jewelry allowed her to pick up Karen’s creativity and Danny’s impeccable taste to design fresh, unique pieces for the store. She was educated at the Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts in San Francisco, California. Julie Kryshak has been in the jewelry business for over 45 years. She worked in her family’s jewelry store in Wausau, Wisconsin from the age of 15 until she sold it in 2002.
