Backlinks are OUT 🚫 Quality content: IN ✅
Now, I must preface that backlinks are without a doubt an important aspect of website SEO and, in combination with other SEO methods, can do wonders for your website traffic. **Cue the BUT…. 😜
Google’s language processing has improved dramatically- because of this, the algorithm has the smarts to crawl content and determine if it’s a quality site or a scammy dud.
Backlinks in the past have been not only overused, but misused- leading to situations like faulty links, insecure sites, and bad reputations.
Since Google has recognized this as a way to take advantage of the algorithm, a new approach developed… judge the sites on the content they create. Makes sense right?!
So before you go out and try to get a bunch of backlinks to your website, create a good content strategy, optimize the content you create, and make everything you do consistent in nature!

Are you aware of this little known secret??
Amazing how sometimes the smallest details make all the difference in SEO!
Optimize your name, address, and phone number (NAP) with a consistent format across all directories to ensure a seamless integration of search data!
Inconsistent business information can dramatically impact your search results as it communicates to the algorithm that your business is potentially untrustworthy.
Remember, the algorithm isn’t a person, and it doesn’t have feelings or common sense! So when it receives a search query, it’s going to crawl the internet with unbiased intent based purely on the information given.
With that said, a business with consistent NAP data, will be favored in search results compared to a business without!

Does the keyword “Near Me” even work anymore?
Yes!
But keep in mind what kind of content it is, and how you want it showing up to your audience.
Using “near me” for organic results will generate local results vs without, will generate a more educational response.
Market research ➡️ keyword research ➡️ content ➡️ SEO ➡️ money money

But….. how do you discover your strengths?
Your strengths are what make your business unique. 🙌
So when marketing your business, highlight these strengths!
And use these strengths & specialties as keywords.
Example:
You’re not just a hair stylist near me… you’re an experienced hair stylist that specializes in blonde hair.
You’re not just a coffee stand near me… you’re a dog loving coffee stand that sells organic coffee.
You’re not just a Dentist near me. You’re a family owned dentist that specializes in tooth decay.
You’re not just a blogger: You’re a entrepreneurial based mom blog on balancing business and babies.
Discover your strengths, and put them to use, to attract your ideal customer. Develop your strengths and you’ll be unstoppable!
