That Simple Life

Sunshine and butterflies forecasted for today in our neighborhood! What about your neck of the woods? We are going to be in the 90s this week, so I'll be a 10 minute gardener...work on harvesting, watering, and trimming 10 minutes here and 10 minutes there. 😁 I hope your day is full of glimmers of happiness. 🥰

As I read through the Bible in 2026, the reading is now in Isaiah. One of my favorite books of the Bible! Here's part of my reading for today. 

“Learn to do good. Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the cause of orphans. Fight for the rights of widows.”

Does anyone else's inner child get a little bit giddy when fresh school supplies hit the stores? Whether I'm teaching that fall or not, brand new boxes of crayons and markers, along with new pencils and notebooks call to me! 😁 In fact one of these came home with me since I will be teaching this fall. A brand new box of crayons for 50 cents cannot be resisted. LOL!

I'm going to do a little bit of my annual summer deep cleaning on this rainy day. The curtains are all coming down to get washed and re-hung. Think how dusty they get in a year's time! It feels good to have fresh clean curtains. I hope you have a sweet day whether you are working, playing, or resting today. Talk to you later!
