Hello, 611 Friends! Summer hours are in effect, and we'll be closed July 9-14.
Please do not leave anything at our door while we're closed. We'll see you when we reopen!

Good morning, 611 Friends!
We made it through our first July shopping day, and we'd love your help getting us through the rest of the month.
Drop-off hours are today and tomorrow from 6:00-9:00 PM.
Our biggest needs:
• Salt & pepper
• Strawberry jam or jelly (highly preferred over grape)
• Laundry detergent
We'll also gladly take:
• White rice (white only)
• Dried beans
• Instant coffee (preferred over ground coffee)
• Tea
• Toilet paper
• Paper towels
• Pasta sauce (jars only)
• Pasta
At 611, we believe people know what's best for their own homes. Our pantry list comes directly from what people choose over and over again, not from what we think they should want. We stock what gets used, not what sits on the shelf waiting until it's the only option.
Please NO DUMPING at 611.
We're seeing an increase in items that we cannot accept. If it isn't something we can put directly into the hands of a shopper, it creates extra work for our volunteers and takes up valuable space.
At 611 we do NOT take:
Used un**es
Used socks
Open products
Used products
Open food
Used food
Food that is not on our list
Furniture
Construction materials
Items that are:
Broken
Dirty
Stained
Missing pieces
611 is entirely volunteer-run. We do not have the capacity to sort, store, or dispose of items that don't meet our guidelines.
Please help by only bringing items we can use.
Hey 611 Friends! Thank you to everyone that has given so far this month! We were able to welcome 12 volunteers so far this month and we are ready to welcome out 15 shopping families today.
We could still use your help! If you're out and about, laundry detergent and salt & pepper are on our list of needs. Drop-off times this week are 6-9pm, Monday - Wednesday. Or visit our website at www.our611.org to donate.
See ya soon!

Hi Friends! I just learned about this deal from Sam's Club! This 8 pack of sugar is about $9, but you can only find it in their restaurant section! If you have a membership, please consider picking up a pack of sugar. One of these would help us fill a food box for 8 families.

Hey 611 Friends! July starts today and it's a great day to help us restock at The Drop!
Every month, we refill the shelves together so they're ready for the friends who will shop at 611.
Our doors are open from 5:00-8:00 PM for donations.
Most drop-offs happen right inside our front door. Today, you're invited to step inside for a 611 Social and spend a little time in 611. Bring a resource, a flyer, or information you'd like to share with the 611 friends. It's a chance to connect with the space, not just the donation shelf.
Our pantry needs this month are:
• Coffee (instant regular preferred)
• Cooking oil
• Sugar
• Tea
• Salt & pepper (especially needed)
• Peanut butter
• Jelly
• Dry beans
• White rice (white only)
Because we believe everyone who shops should have access to the same pantry staples, we're only accepting these food items for 611 right now. If you'd like to donate other shelf-stable food, please take it to Evanston Community Fridges, where it can get to people quickly.
We'll be here from 5:00-8:00 PM. Come by if you can.

Hey 611 Friends! We have been seeing lots of requests for AC units or fans! If you have one to spare or can pick up a new one, please bring it by drop off hours!
We're official.
I think we're official.
Are we official?
This must make it official.
Me showing all of my friends our very first piece of 611 Collective mail at 611! And drum roll please 🥁🥁🥁🥁
IT'S NOT JUNK MAIL!
Some of my friends were more excited than others, but that's ok. I even showed the dog, because what dog doesn't love to be excited!
