Moshe Feldenkrais created a series of gentle lessons called Awareness Through Movement designed to teach people to move with greater grace and efficiency. The net result is a body which is not holding onto unconscious tension and thereby damaging itself. A lot of the physical difficulties people have are a result of poor movement over time slowly damaging the body. Improve the quality of movement, end the continuing damage, and the body then has the chance to heal itself.
