Meet Sam Dewese, Administrative Assistant at Shorefront Legacy Center. Sam recently joined our team and has made a huge impact towards the ongoing success of our organization.

In his first week at Shorefront, Sam explored the collection of Eleanor Roberts, an opera singer who was based Evanston. In her collection he saw an evening dress, which Miss Roberts wore on the cover of the album she recorded. This garment was particularly impactful, as outside of his work with us, Sam is a talented opera singer!

In this video, Sam mentioned his surprise that an archival space exists just as much in the present and future as it does in the past. Shorefront is a rich and lively space that depends on people like Sam to keep the work going!
