Curious how decisions are made at EWEB? Attend or watch our monthly public board meeting tomorrow, May 6, at 5:30 p.m.
The Eugene Water & Electric Board is owned by our customers, who elect a five-member Board of Commissioners. The May 6 meeting of EWEB’s elected Board of Commissioners will include:
- Legislative Update: Review of 2025 legislation and other public policy matters.
- Direction on potential City of Eugene Fire Fee collection: Under the City Charter, EWEB is required to collect only Stormwater and Wastewater fees on behalf of the City of Eugene. There is no requirement for EWEB to collect additional city-imposed fees. The EWEB Board will provide direction on collection of a future City fee if passed.
- Future adoption of fees for manual meter reading: Direction on continued planning for MMR fees based on current cost estimates, with implementation targeted for 2026.
- Initial BPA Product Recommendation: Discussion of BPA product analysis process and Initial Product Recommendation.
- Major Capital Projects: Annual update on large-scale infrastructure investments.
