d by several different people. John and Lynne Barkle owned the restaurant from 1999 through 2003 and regained it in February of 2012. In between owners the Viewpoint was totally demolished by fire on February 24, 1982. The day after the fire a huge landslide roared into McIver Park at the site of the burned out restaurant. The road was moved away from the unstable ground and the Viewpoint was rebuilt where it is now located. In February 2012 a major makeover was completed in the restaurant. A new roof, new carpeting, fresh paint, upgraded landscaping, and an enlarged and repaved parking lot greatly improved the restaurant. In March of 2013 we completely remodeled our kitchen. In June 2013 we opened the Beer Garden which features BBQ hamburgers and hot dogs, 34 picnic tables, 2 horseshoe pits and a lovely shaded outdoor atmosphere. John, Lynne recently sold The Viewpoint in May 2015 to Tim and Gail Herman. Tim, Gail and the wonderful staff strive to give you a wonderful dining experience with delicious food and great service. Our home cooked style food and daily features are prepared by our amazing cooks and served with care by our great wait staff. Live music on Saturday nights and our wonderful bar crew are there to give you impressive service all week.
