The Tacoma throwing a temper tantrum after seeing the attention Nate’s giving his. Stanky Leg attitude just ain’t gonna cut it.

We are known to “lower ourselves” to that level, machine will reach 15’ deep, pipes at 17.5’. Simple solution.
Kid got good….
Though I would hold the title a bit longer than I did. The kid rode wheelies on everything he owned practicing, it paid off.

The 600-Mile OBDR Perspective. 🏁
Looking back at a 5-day push from Estacada to the California border, and then halfway back into the high lakes, This trip was a reality check on what it takes to maintain an edge when the elements are fighting back.
By the time we arrived in Cali and then turned north, my rear tire wouldn’t be accepted at a recycler. It was trashed, so we adjusted to meet the demands presented to us and made it another 100+ miles with wire showing through the carcass. On a solo-entry run like that, you don't have a support truck, you only have your ability to process the terrain and manage the machine.
In my world, whether it was on that bike 5 years ago or on a CRE job site today, the logic is identical: Miscalculate the ground, and you lose the customer or your butt. I built Clackamas River Excavation on that same level of technical focus. We don’t just show up; we read the land and execute with precision. 🏗️
The Line Between Winning and Failure
In the PNW, the ground doesn’t give you second chances, it doesn’t care about you.
Whether It’s pinned in 4th gear through a technical woods section or navigating a 40,000lb machine on a steep grade, the stakes are identical. Out here, the terrain changes in a heartbeat. If you misread the ground or push a machine past its limit, it’s not just a bad day—it can be catastrophic failure. I’ve spent my life in this dirt. From the podium at a regional races to my years as a Foreman and Superintendent, I’ve learned that success comes down to three things:
• Fast Mental Processing: Reading the ground in real-time and adjusting the flow before the mistake happens.
• Precision Ex*****on: Knowing exactly what you—and your equipment—are capable of.
• The Drive to Win: Constantly pushing to see what’s possible, then teaching the crew to meet that same elite standard.
I don’t just "move dirt." I apply a lifetime of riding/racing and heavy-construction leadership to every square inch of a project. If you’re here for the adventure, the bikes, or the heavy iron, you’re in the right place. We don’t just show up; we perform at the highest level.
