Aging-In-Place Remodeling

We originally met with this homeowner to install a Stiltz lift. While there she asked us to also remodel her primary bathroom and her downstairs bathroom. Today we will feature the Primary Bathroom remodel. The homeowner, with the assistance of her designer chose high end finishes to create a warm and serene space. From the grab bars to the light fixtures to the cabinets and counter tops everything came together beautifully. The bathroom features a frosted glass door, by that slides between the toilet room and the shower to provide privacy for whichever space is needed while not creating barriers with traditional doors. Grab bars were installed in both of these areas for bathroom safety. In the barrier free shower we also install a fold up shower seat, a hand held shower head and plenty of shelving for all of her showering needs. The shower walls are porcelain slabs and the shower drain is tiled so you don't see the traditional drain. The cabinets have two unique features. The first is motion sensor toe kick lights. When motion in the bathroom is detected the lights under the cabinets will automatically come on. The other unique feature of the cabinetry is electrical outlets inside the drawers.
