If you are not familiar with apprenticeships, they are a popular and practical approach to hiring and training new skilled workers that combine on the job training with related technical instruction. These programs are completely customizable to meet each employer’s needs while also increasing employee retention with a structured pay scale and career path.
How does UPMW fit into all of this? We serve as the intermediary between businesses and the USDOL to help make the process of starting up and managing an apprenticeship (including all the boring paperwork) a whole lot easier. And our services are provided completely free of charge! As Megan says in this interview: there’s really no reason to not learn more!
