Life is, if nothing else, a mixture of pleasure, of pain, of suffering, of joy. I seek to write about those many different faces of the experience we call "life", from my own perspective, using my unique way of translating the energy of inspiration into works that inspire others. I look forward to sharing these little parts of me, and thank you all for being a part of my journey.

In a world of twigs, be a tree. Offer cover, provide shelter, reach for the sky, hold firm but always be willing to sway. Mostly, don't fear being a tree. Stand tall in your forest. Open your arms to the possibilities. Awaken next to the truth that gives itself freely to you.

Sometimes I envy the wild things. They aren't busy with their ideas of right and wrong. They aren't worshipping idols or saluting flags of their own creation. Nature doesn't fake itself. Nature doesn't fake anything, it can't lie and it can't pretend. Perhaps that's why some of us feel at home among the wild things and some of us fear their existence.

One final thought, from the poet Hafiz. "Even after all of this time, the Sun never says to the Earth 'You owe me'. Look at what happens with a love like that. It lights the whole world."

Ok, one random thought. I was considering which of the trails I've wondered have been my favorite, the answer came to me quickly. It's the one we walk together.

Thank you to all who offered birthday wishes today! I'm grateful to have been a part of your day even if for only a moment.

It's been quite a week of exploration. The one thing about me is that exploration of the nature around me only serves to guide me through adventures within me. I need to be out there. I don't exist as me without existing in Nature.

But more on that later. I just wish that we all could find that one thing that connects us to being and always find ways to go there.

That is a birthday wish for me. I hope we all walk with the wild things and leave our footprints on the earth. There they last forever. Nature always wins.
