⚠️ This homeowner had no idea their electrical panel was failing.

They called us after experiencing electrical issues. During our inspection, we discovered a severely burned Challenger electrical panel caused by a failed main breaker connection.

πŸ”₯ Overheating inside an electrical panel can become a serious safety hazard if left unaddressed.

➑️ Swipe through the photos to see what we found and how we transformed this damaged electrical system into a safe, code-compliant 200-amp service.

We completed:

βœ”οΈ New 200-amp electrical panel
βœ”οΈ New exterior meter/main disconnect
βœ”οΈ Whole-home surge protection
βœ”οΈ Updated grounding and bonding
βœ”οΈ Code-compliant installation from the meter to the panel

If you're experiencing flickering lights, breakers that trip frequently, buzzing from your panel, a burning odor, or your home still has an older Challenger, Federal Pacific, Zinsco, or fuse-style electrical panel (screw-in or pull-out fuses), don't ignore the warning signs.

⚠️ A little electrical tape doesn't make an unsafe outlet safe.

We came across this receptacle during a recent service call.

At first glance, it might not seem like a big deal, but electrical tape isn't a proper repair for a damaged or loose receptacle. If an outlet is cracked, loose, or damaged, the safest solution is to replace itβ€”not cover it up.

🏑 Take a quick look around your home.

If you notice:
β€’ Loose outlets that move when plugging something in
β€’ Cracked or broken receptacles
β€’ Electrical tape covering an outlet or switch
β€’ Burn marks or discoloration

It's worth having them repaired before they become a bigger issue.

❌ Myth: If my GFCI has power, it must be working.

βœ… Fact: A GFCI can still supply power and fail to provide shock protection.

Take 30 seconds to press the TEST button.

If the outlet doesn't trip and reset properly, it's time to have it checked.

Swipe to see a recent GFCI replacement.

⚠️ Electrical emergencies don't wait, and neither do we.

Late last night, we responded to an emergency call after a homeowner lost power to part of their home due to a severely damaged electrical service. Situations like this can quickly become a serious fire hazard, which is why we respond as soon as possible.

With all the rain we've had, take a few minutes to inspect your electrical service for:

⚑ Damage to the service entrance cable
⚑ Rust or moisture around your meter or panel
⚑ Rust or corrosion on breakers
⚑ Lights that flicker during or after heavy rain

Water can enter a damaged service cable and travel into your electrical panel, leading to corrosion, damaged breakers, and unsafe conditions.

If you notice any of these warning signs, don't ignore them. A simple inspection today could prevent a much larger problem tomorrow.
