Meet the Knights: Dame Richildis!

Dame Richildis spent her formative years in Hainaut and the Low Countries watching her sisters be sent away to politically advantageous, but miserable marriages. After vowing her life would be different, she trained secretly with her brother and hid herself among his troops on their march east for the Fourth Crusade. Her experience with the disastrous decisions leading to Constantinople left her thoroughly unimpressed with political machinations. As a result she prefers a straightforward beat-or-be-beaten approach. The strongest fighter should and will win the day--on the battlefield or during a tournament.

She has little patience for cheats or those who try to weasel their way to honor and glory. Those gifts must be earned, not stolen.
