Made in Whitby Summer Festival returns this week! 🎉
Only 3 days to go until the Made in Whitby Summer Festival takes over the grounds of Whitby Brewery, with the stunning Whitby Abbey as its backdrop.
Taking place on Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd July 2026, the festival will bring together local artisans, creators, makers, food vendors and musicians for two days celebrating Whitby’s creative spirit.
Visitors can browse unique locally made products, enjoy delicious food, listen to live music, and even go behind the scenes with some of Whitby’s most iconic businesses.
What is Made in Whitby?
Made in Whitby is a community of local makers and producers who create distinctive products rooted in Whitby’s sense of place. Founded by Archie of Whitby Sea Salt, alongside Barry from Fortune’s Kippers and Richard from Whitby Brewery, the group champions local skills, small businesses and the town’s entrepreneurial spirit.
A brilliant summer event for anyone who loves Whitby, local creativity, great food and a festival atmosphere.

Hello welcome to Bluebell's page where you can book directly with me to avoid platform charges.
Bluebell has three bedrooms and sleeps five. Bluebell is very much our home, one that we are delighted to share. I wanted it to feel like a true escape: cosy, characterful and welcoming all year round.
There's a wood-burning stove for cooler evenings, books beside the beds, bespoke bedding and an eclectic mix of furniture sourced from vintage fairs and antique markets. Comfort is the key so every bed has a high-quality mattress, and essentials such as good coffee, teas and other treats. We also provide a parking permit so you don't need to pay for parking. Due to laundry and cleaning costs we do have a three night minimum stay.
Despite being moments from bustling Church Street, Henrietta Street is wonderfully peaceful in the evenings. One of our favourite rituals is walking up the street at dusk to the East Pier to watch the sun melt into the sea.
The cottage sits right beside the iconic 199 steps leading up to Whitby Abbey, where you can explore the atmospheric ruins, visit the Captain Cook memorial Museum and take in sweeping coastal views. Whitby Brewery, perched by the Abbey, is a firm favourite for its beer and homemade pizza's.
Just across the cobbled street from Bluebell, steps lead directly down on the beach. Many mornings begin with a cup of coffee on the sand in my PJ's or a bracing cold water swim.
Bluebell is more than a holiday home, it's a place to breathe, to reconnect, and to fall a little bit in love with the sea just as we did.
