Community Police Officer Schmidt recently visited students from the Enfield Transition Learning Academy as they prepare to earn their driver's licenses and begin driving independently.
During the visit, Officer Schmidt walked students through what they can expect during a motor vehicle stop, including why officers conduct stops, what information may be requested, and how drivers can safely interact with law enforcement during the encounter.
By helping students understand the process ahead of time, Officer Schmidt provided valuable tips that can help keep both drivers and officers safe. We appreciate the opportunity to meet with these students and wish them the best of luck as they work toward becoming licensed drivers!
