READY FOR ADOPTION
Sophie is a 5 mo female shepherd mix who was rescued with her siblings from the streets of rural TN. Friendly and well-socialized. Typical Shepherd temperament, very intelligent, confident, loyal. Good with other dogs, loves kids and very gentle with the young children in her foster family. Not cat tested. Very active outside, still has a lot of puppy left in her. Settles down quickly inside, quiet and well-mannered in the house, good house manners. Crate trained and housebroken. Obeys basic commands. Loves to be with her people. Good on a leash, rides great in the car. Estimated DOB is 6-1-25. Healthy and fully vetted, current on shots, spayed, weighs about 40 pounds. AWESOME young shepherd mix will make a wonderful companion (and jogging partner!) for an active family who loves the breed.

Maizie is wonderful! She has made herself at home and I just love her. In the evening she'll come to me and start whining because she wants me to cuddle with her on the couch. What a love bug! Maizie's got a lot of energy and is keeping me on my toes which is a good thing. She loves being outside racing around (yard is fenced) and I think she has tried to catch every squirrel and chipmunk in the area. Thankfully she hasn't caught any.
She still goes out at night and early morning on the leash because we are working on a more consistent recall when she is focused on something other than me. It's going very well I think because she is very food motivated and very smart. The vet here thought she was very healthy but a little skinny so we're working on that. We have a follow up to recheck her weight in a few weeks. I am so thankful I was able to adopt her. Thank you so much for entrusting her to me, Chandler O'Gara / Barkhamsted CT

Mae is one of 5 Great Pyrenees mix (yes!) sisters from an unwanted litter in Memphis who all have now found their forever families.
“Mae is living the life! We have learned a lot about her. She loves: Naps, beaches, catching bugs, ice cubes; chewing mom’s shoes, her toys, and her bed. She hates: Baths, going back inside after playtime, vaccines, and taking her flea/tick medicine. We love her so much! Keara Doherty / Northport NY”
