With receptions that featured electronic music and stilt-dancing flash mobs, Mezza9 used all her resources to transport gallery-goers to Nebulon, the zero-gravity world within her multi-paneled s’fumato paintings where strawberries, jellyfish and skymaids all float with underwater grace through surreal skyscapes.”


She received grants from the North Carolina and the Arizona Commissions on the Arts in 2000

Mezza9 explores the Wilderness of the mind, through large-scale figurative works and circus arts. She’s inspired by stilt walkers, contortionists, and the ocean in these new works which are watery landscapes, flights through air and landscapes of the heart. 'There’s an amazing vibration of color that speaks to Mezza9’s concern for the fluid and transitory oneness of the environment, plant inspirations, and convergence of energies between people and nature in a sensual and spiritual exploration in paint. She is a yogi, traveler, naturalista, and supporter of plant-based diets and conservation of wilderness areas for the future of planet Earth. Much love 'n peace. Breathe deep.
