That’s a wrap! Thank you everyone for coming out to see and collect the art in our 18 years of Art show! We were honored to have our walls graced with the works of so many talented artists. .d.sherwood paid us a visit to close out the show. In this photographic series, I “transform” vacant commercial spaces into social services and institutions, encompassing both existing services and imagined ones. I physically hold up signage on-site, creating a clumsy illusion that | capture with the camera. The presence of my hand and the transparent supports ensure that this illusion is fleeting, prompting viewers to contemplate the implications of repurposing a small percentage of vacant commercial space to house our absent social safety net.
