Planning is underway for NASA's Habitable Worlds Observatory, a critical part of the first mission designed to look specifically for signs of life on exoplanets.

NASA estimates that there are billions of planets sitting in the proper regions throughout the galaxy where liquid water can exist. This observatory will hunt for “biosignatures”, which could signal the presence of life!
