Former Cecil County Councilwoman Phyllis Kilby has filed as a write-in candidate in Cecil County's Fourth District council race against appointed, first-term incumbent Donna Culberson. Former Cecil County Council President Joyce Bowlsbey has filed as a write-in candidate for the Second District race against Republican nominee Rebecca Hamilton. Both Culberson and Hamilton are far-right extremists w
ho are far more interested in fighting national culture wars than in the priorities of a successful councilmember, such as better schools, safer communities and a strong, vibrant economy. Neither would be independent voices for the taxpayers who elected them, but merely rubber stamps for County Executive Danielle Hornberger, Delegate Kevin Hornberger and Congressman Andy Harris. Neither have the experience or interest in county government to lead effectively. The families and business owners of our growing county deserve better. Joyce Bowlsbey and Phyllis Kilby have been successful, proven leaders in both business and government. They know, firsthand, what it takes to build a competitive business climate that attracts good-paying jobs, and they know what it takes to protect the quality of life that makes Cecil County a beautiful place to call home. We can WRITE OFF Cecil County's future by turning our government over to far-right extremists. Or we can WRITE IN Joyce Bowlsbey and Phyllis Kilby for the County Council and ensure a better, brighter future for Cecil County!
