In our latest Varsity Corner feature, we're spotlighting Nathaniel Gust — a Millard North High School senior who's been bowling since he was 3 years old.

As a three-year captain of both the Varsity and Unified bowling teams, Nathaniel qualified for the individual state tournament three times and helped lead the Unified team to a runner-up finish at state. He's also made two appearances at Junior Gold, a national bowling tournament in Indianapolis.

This fall, he takes his game to Briar Cliff University. Congratulations, Nathaniel — Omaha is proud of you!

At just 16 years old, Sage Doubet is already making a name for herself in Omaha's film community.

This homeschooled filmmaker and her production company have had two films selected for major festivals — Opening Night at the 2026 Omaha Film Festival and Raiven at the Omaha Film Festival, the Benson Film Festival, AND the Rising Star Colorado Film Festival.
