Our team started out at Elkhart Christian Academy back in 2006 as a STEM club. Now we have student members from several schools from the Elkhart area and have been competing in the FIRST Tech Challenge robotic competition since 2008.

After pouring blood, sweat and tears into our little scrap bot, we competed in three back-to-back-to-back competitions. And managed to achieve burn-out by week one. We built and rebuilt that thing and experienced so many highs and lows.

But the sweetest victory was coming in dead last in competition #3. It takes a special kind of talent to come in 33 out of 33 teams.

Any ordinary robotics team can average somewhere in the middle or kind of near the bottom. And it's not like we set out to land at the bottom. There were failures beyond our control and we fought hard to the bitterest end to keep it running. But the very same team work and effort that took us to 33 out of 33, can just as easily take us to the top. Way to go, Raptors!!!!
