Rest in peace Buddy James Brown💕 Thank you Teri Jacobsen Allen and Terolyn Rescue for helping us save him! Buddy was not well off and the decision was made to euthanize him at the auction rather than make him endure travel and a re-adjustment period at a new barn.
To everyone that supports our mission- not only did we save Buddy and give him a dignified end to life. With us saving this one euthanasia case we helped open up funds for two other local rescues that attended the action .
One was able to save a mom and baby and the other was able to take in three stallions that they can geld and adopt out .
Jasper Project is not only helping horses in their most desperate time but also trying to help our local rescues save their funds for horses that can be helped.
If you have it in your heart to help us with this mission we would greatly appreciate any donations!

Thank you for partnering with us Safe Landing Horse Rescue! We are so grateful to help these horses in need!

Rescue is hard. Some days are way harder than others. Especially when you have to put horses down. Most of the time it’s due to severe pain issues where we have tried everything to keep a horse comfortable, other times it’s dangerous behavioral issues where we give them every chance we can, but after many many months of they are still dangerous and hurting humans, we sometimes have to release them from the mental damage they have endured to make them hate people. But believe me those ones we try everything possible for as well. Over the past weeks we have had a few we had to put down from pain issues and one behavioral issue. We have partnered with The Jasper Project and Brianna Graf to help with the expenses for putting down horses that need that and we would like to truly thank them for this help! We have also helped coordinate with owners who need to put their horse down but don’t have the funding to do so. If you are an owner in that position please reach out so they can help. You can reach out to us here or directly to The Jasper Project (I will put their info in the comments below)
