The Farmstead

The last pictures...the last day I walked out n 08-31-2020 at about 1130ish...am 😔😔
Not gonna lie...I miss it! and when I drove by and saw 20 black trash bags sitting outside in the driveway the other day my heart sunk...😢 buuuttttt I know renovating needs done! 😔❤

Well today August 31, 2020 was Farewell to the Farmstead Bed & Breakfast...(founded in 1986).

We signed it over to new owners today!!

It was a 34 year run for "The Colonel" aka John &
Meb aka Marian and with Lisa as Manager for many moons from I believe 1994ish to 2016ish. (no quoting on those dates!🤪)
I stepped in after she left to help run things it became a true family affair 🥰 with the help of my 3 boys... their 3 great grandsons, my sister & close family friends.
Cleaning the Barn took me literally 4 years! so all in all it was perfect timing!! Plus they were ready to come home The Colonel is tired and his mind is very tired! and Meb has her hands full with him not something she can deal with on her own! Now she will have the help of all of us at home. Surrounded by family. ❤💙
The last year they were up at the Bed and Breakfast it was residential...we closed doors after our busy season last year 2019.
They have been home all but 2 days and are settling in well they love to read!! Colonel looooves the extra good food! (aka good snacks chocolates🤦‍♀️)
There is definitely going to be some adjustments still lots of unpacking to do only so much has been done but we are trucking right along!! At least all attic stuff is in attic now...big huge positive dent in the process...

We got a pictures today!! Leaving The Farm for the last time "Bye bye Farmstead...we will miss you" they both said in sync. They waved the whole way down the driveway...to the Barn and all the way out onto 236...that was amongst the hardest pull aways I've done!! Lort was it hard to keep it together 😔😔😔

And once again we wanted to thank "ALL" that came & helped us clear out the barn during the yard sale & free days! You all were awesome!! 🙌🙌
