The Literacy Connection

n have circumstances that make them prefer one-on-one tutoring to the structure of the community college’s ESL program. Some factors include limited education, discomfort in a traditional classroom setting, specific educational or personal goals, personal learning gaps, or erratic work schedules. The agency is designed to accommodate the needs of these adult learners by matching them with volunteers who offer flexibility to meet their individual needs. Our learners are single adults, mothers, fathers, and grandparents—all eager to receive help to make a better life for them and their families in the United States.
