We'll gather for a short walk, enjoy refreshments, and hear a brief presentation about the importance of protecting and supporting older adults in our community. You can still RSVP!

Due to a traffic crash, the traffic lights controlling eastbound and westbound lanes of 72 (Higgins Rd) at Randall Road are not working. North and southbound Randall is open, but anticipate slow moving traffic. If possible, consider alternate routes. ComEd is on scene at this time, we will provide an update once the intersection has been completely cleared up and the traffic signals are completely operational again. Thank you.

Hello Elgin! National Night Out 2026 is only two months away! Summer is here, and we hope you are thinking about hosting a NNO Block Party on Tuesday, August 4th, from 6-8pm.

National Night Out (NNO) is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. Elgin celebrates by encouraging neighborhood parties and then visiting the parties with a team of City Officials, Police, and Community Partner Mascots and also Fire Department personnel. Last year we had 11 teams visiting the many parties all across town!

Please consider joining in and hosting a party! Be creative - you can do anything you would like for your NNO party; the most important part is bringing your neighbors together! The more you get connected, the safer you can make your neighborhood and the more you can accomplish. ¡Hola, Elgin! ¡Faltan solo dos meses para National Night Out (Noche Nacional del Vecindario) 2026! El verano ya está aquí, y esperamos que estén pensando en organizar una fiesta en su cuadra. La fecha sera el martes 4 de agosto, de 6:00 p. m. a 8:00 p. m.

National Night Out (NNO) es una campaña anual de fortalecimiento comunitario que promueve la colaboración entre la policía y la comunidad, así como la camaradería vecinal. Elgin celebra esta ocasión fomentando la organización de fiestas en los vecindarios y visitando dichas fiestas con un equipo compuesto por funcionarios municipales, agentes de policía, mascotas de organizaciones comunitarias asociadas y personal del Departamento de Bomberos. ¡El año pasado, contamos con 11 equipos que recorrieron y visitaron las numerosas fiestas celebradas por toda la ciudad!

¡Les invitamos a unirse a la celebración y a organizar su propia fiesta! ¡Sean creativos! Pueden organizar cualquier tipo de actividad que deseen para su fiesta de NNO; ¡lo más importante es reunir a sus vecinos! Cuanto mayor sea su nivel de conexión, más seguro podrán hacer que sea su vecindario y más logros podrán alcanzar. La fecha límite para el registro es el 30 de junio de 2026. Solo las fiestas debidamente registradas recibirán la visita de los equipos de la ciudad.
