Rediscover Records is an indie record shop in historic downtown Elgin. We specialize in vinyl, the best of freshest new releases from this year and the best of the classics. We carry preowned records in 33, 45, and 78rpm formats. Prices for preowned records start at $1 and the average price is $5-$15, though there are a few exceptions if collectible. We participate in Record Store Day!

🌍 AIn’t no A.I. here! We barely ever turn on our printer lol. Even if you’ve been here but a few times, you’ve seen our handwritten notes (hype stickers!) describing records, bands, and Elgin History. There’s one describing where the bathroom light switch is, even. There’s dozens of them! Stop in and read a few and were humbled that some of you have bought records because of these handwritten “hype stickers” 😊
