We had the exciting opportunity to get a sneak peek of the long-awaited Plunge renovation during the sponsor reception this week! 🏊‍♂️🎉
The El Segundo Rotary Club is proud to be one of the community partners helping support this incredible project, and it was amazing to see how close it is to completion. After years of planning and construction, the new Plunge is finally in its final stages and will soon reopen for the entire community to enjoy — less than a month away!
Projects like this are a great reminder of the impact Rotary continues to make in our community. From supporting youth programs and education to helping bring important community spaces like the Plunge back to life, Rotary is all about creating lasting positive change through service and collaboration. 💙💛

Join us on Thursday, May 14, for an informational session with Genesis Rodriguez, Public Affairs Specialist at the Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts.

Genesis Rodriguez leads community outreach and communications efforts for one of the nation’s largest wastewater agencies serving nearly 5.5 million residents. Since joining the Districts in 2017, she has helped spearhead public education campaigns, crisis communications, and large-scale community engagement initiatives focused on sustainability, recycled water, and public infrastructure.

Genesis holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics with a minor in Communications from California State University, Long Beach. She is passionate about public service, environmental education, and building meaningful connections between agencies and the communities they serve.
